The Wizard Energy Storage Project, Peregrine’s only project proposed for League City, is a 150 MW project to be sited in the Industrial zone of League City, south of Washington Street, east of Texas State Route 3, and west of Dickinson Avenue.
Just like other energy sources, all energy storage projects must meet rigorous codes and standards to be permitted to operate, and Peregrine’s standards exceed requirements in multiple key aspects
, as well as requirements included in League City’s newly passed ordinance for energy storage projects. League City can safely benefit from the many advantages brought by these projects, including providing back-up power to homes and businesses, limiting power outages, making our electrical grid more reliable, and enabling our communities to run on clean, affordable energy.
At a time when Texas increasingly needs support for the power grid, swift and efficient action is critical, and delaying the development of safe, needed projects can have adverse effects on both grid reliability and community benefits realized.
Send an email to the City to let them know you support swift action for a permit for this beneficial project.
